The Lodge at Russell

This motel was so cozy!! The rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was the best we'd had on our trip! Extremely reasonably priced. Convenient to I-70.

Im very impressed with the rooms, service and the breakfast is amazing! The rooms have everything, to make them feel like home. The staff is very nice, and helpful. My check in experience with Tia was welcoming, quick! The fresh baked cookies and cold sweet tea just topped it off! I will definitely recommend The Lodge!!

Lovely, clean clean hotel with a wonderful overnight staff. The room is small and a little dated, some stains on the carpet, etc., but the overall charm of the place makes up for that. The lobby is just amazing and includes a homemade restaurant quality breakfast. It is pet friendly and has a huge array of room types, including one with 3 beds and a suite with 2 bathrooms, at really fair prices. The location is easy off the interstate and has ample parking. The area feels safe. The only small things were the lack of cookies on both evenings (would have been a plus, not a big deal) and the evening clerk was a little... curt? when I asked about them.

The Lodge is clean, comfortable, cozy and quite. I would not hesitate to stay again. The rooms aren't new but they are more than sufficient. Great breakfast too.

Overall nice hotel, old school actual key and lock, Nice cozy rooms, clean, they supply you with Dove shampoo conditioner and soaps. Room smell nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable lots of pillows That's a big plus for me. The night clerk that checked me in was very pleasant and greeted me with a smile and welcome me in. Okay now on to the breakfast. breakfast was excellent, they had regular scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with hash brown,sausage, cheese the scrambled eggs, very yummy. Homemade cinnamon rolls, toast, biscuits and gravy, raisin toast, yogurt, orange juice, hot coffee, waffle maker, and the kicker and I know this isn't a breakfast item but they had homemade chocolate chip cookies June and Joyce can't remember which one was the manager, but regardless we're really friendly and made you feel welcomed. I'm going to say 10 out of 10 would do it again. Thank you to the lodge for making us feel like a home away from home

The Lodge was a great place to stay while traveling across Kansas. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a fly that I had to take care of, but I've had that experience at so many hotels with externally facing doors that I expect it. At least they provided a swatter! The service was friendly. The breakfast was great. Very convenient to I-70.

I gave the folks here a 5 star rating for the service only because there was no option for 10 or more. I stayed here Friday night and I made the mistake of leaving my cooler plugged in to the car overnight. AAA let us down first saying that it would be over an hour then the guy called back saying it would be 2-4 hours before they could jump us. The lady behind the desk called one of their employees at home and he came up and got us going, saving our day. This is the kind of service that is completely unheard of anymore. If you are looking for a clean comfortable room in a motel where you know they have your back this is the place for you The room was good for the price and the breakfast bar was excellent, especially the bread pudding.

Room was clean, ready to go and full of exactly what I needed. I was initially concerned about its proximity to a roadway near a highway but there were no issues. Staff was friendly and inviting. I had a 2 y/o with me, which is it's own degree of difficulty but no issues there. Their pool was closed for the season, but the nice lady upfront was able to suggest a local alternative. The breakfast was great and a lot of giant chain hotel could learn a thing or two for this nice little joint. I would stay here again and have suggested to my fellow local travellers that like to save a few bucks.
